The Star - There are many dancehall/reggae entertainers who are very popular abroad but do not have the strong support in Jamaica like they have in other countries. One such person is Ras Bogle.Christened Hemrick Troy Bogle, this entertainer is well known in the United States of America. So now, just as how he is popular in 'Uncle Sam', he now intends to make his stamp on the local scene.
artistic journey
The singjay, who said he started his artistic journey in music some three years ago, added that he has spent time abroad and is now ready to make himself a household name in Jamaica.
His first effort was a song entitled She A Bawl, which was recorded in Philadelphia at Top Class studio. He said the song was never released to the public, but he was still happy to have heard himself on plastic.
"The song was not released; however, it was where it all started musically. And looking back it was a very important decision that I had made," Ras Bogle said.
He said now, three years later, and with 13 songs to his credit, he has continued to live with the commitment that there is a whole lot more for him musically.

Among his recordings so far, are Free Up Yourself with entertainer Pound Sterling from England; Live Clean; Pretty Little Yute; Stay Far; and Cry For Justice for which a video was shot.
"I am booked for Manchester Fiesta and there are other negotiations in the works, plus mi work pon Spring Break 2010 and Sting last year (2009) things a happen," Ras Bogle assured.
He told THE STAR that most of his material is of a cultural nature with a touch of social commentary, which he said is relevant if positive changes are to be made in the music industry.
"I believe music can easily relate to the everyday problems and can work at solving some. So it is my way of assisting the change," Ras Bogle explained.
